Assam State Biodiversity Board Interns recruitment 2021

Assam State Biodiversity Board has published a notification for recruitment of interns. Interested and eligible candidates may submit their applications via email.

The details are given below:

Name of the position: Intern

Total position: 2

 

Assignment: Assisting in Access and Benefit Sharing mechanism activities of the Board and other related works of the Board. 

Details of the Assignment: 

i. Assist the Board in processing of applications in 'ABS Portal' 

ii. Awareness generation on ABS regulation for stakeholders (Online/offline workshops) 

iii. Awareness generation through newspapers and social media platform 

iv. Identify and contact the commercial user of bio resources of Assam 

v. Collection and compilation of district-wise primary and secondary data on tradable bio resources of Assam 

vi. Downloading available secondary literature (Books/ Research papers/reports/thesis etc) on flora and fauna of Assam from open source or public domain. 

vii. Entry of the downloaded/available data in Excel worksheets 

viii. Assisting the State level PBR Quality Evaluation and Monitoring Committee to compile their field data 

ix. Other related works of the Board. 

Duration of Internship: 6 months, extendable upto 1 year based on performance.

Eligibility Criteria: 

1. He/ She must be Indian Citizen and Resident of Assam. 

2. Requisite qualification must be M.Sc. Botany (Plant Taxonomy) and M.Sc. (Agriculture/Horticulture) from a recognized Institute. 

3. Computer knowledge with internet access, handling data in advanced spreadsheet or word processing software including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point etc.

4. Desirable skills like working in complex, multi stakeholder, fast moving environment, ability to work under pressure, strict deadlines and multitasking. Good social, analytical skills, be self motivated and should possess ability to work independently as well as in teams.. Candidates having in-depth knowledge of plant and animal taxonomy, report writing, in-depth knowledge of working in excel sheets, experience in developing awareness generation materials, etc are preferred.

5. Age of the candidates should be between 21 years and 35 years as on 01-11-2021

Stipend: Rs. 15,000/- pm (consolidated)

Job location: Assam State Biodiversity Board Office at Aranya Bhawan, Panjabari, Guwahati-37. Travelling to other places related to Board's works on need basis.

Selection procedure:  Applications shall be assessed on the basis of marks obtained, computer skills, work experience and write up on how these Internship positions will benefit them. The selected candidates shall be called for personal interaction.
