Directorate of Forensic Science, Kahilipara, Guwahati has published a recruitment notification for 36 posts of Scientific Assistant and 4 posts of Junior Assistant at Regional Forensic Science Laboratories, Mobile Forensic Laboratories and Directorate Office at Kahilipara.

The details regarding the vacancy, eligibility criteria and other details of Forensic Science Assam recruitment 2021 are given below;

1. Scientific  Assistant

Total post: 36 [UR-16, OBC-9, STP-3, STH-2, EWS-4, SC-2]

Office wise vacancy:

• Regional Forensic Science Laboratories: 24
• Mobile Forensic Laboratories: 7
• Directorate Office at Kahilipara: 5

Educational qualification:

1. B.Sc in Chemistry {category 1}

2. B.Sc. in Botany/ Zoology/ Anthropology (Physical)/ Biotechnology {category 2}

3. B.Sc. in Physics/ Electronics/ Instrumentation

Salary: Rs. 14,000 to 60,500 + GP Rs. 7,600/- pm

2. Junior Assistant

Total post: 4 [UR-3, STH-1]

Office wise vacancy: Regional Forensic Science Laboratories: 24

Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline with minimum 6 months diploma/certificate in computer proficiency from a recognized institute. Candidates should have a good working knowledge of MS office, internet, email, etc.

Salary: Rs. 14,000 to 60,500 + GP Rs. 6,200/- pm

Age limit: 21 to 40 years as on 01-01-2021. Upper age is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

Mode of selection:

1. Written-test

2. Skill test (Only for those who qualify in Written test)

Syllabus of written test:

1. Scientific Assistant: Concerned subject, general knowledge and general english- 75 marks

2. Junior Assistant: General knowledge, General English, quantitative aptitude and knowledge in computer- 100 marks

Skill test: 25 marks for Scientific Assistant and 50 marks for Junior Assistant

How to apply: Candidates are required to apply in the prescribed Standard Form of Application as published in Part-IX of Assam Gazette and send it to the following address. The envelope containing the application should be distinctly superscripted with the name of the post applied for.

The applicants should submit self-attested copies of the following documents along with the application.

1. Recent passport sized photograph.

2. Educational qualification certificates.

3. Caste Certificate (In case of reserved category candidates)

4. Birth certificate, wherever applicable (for age proof)

5. Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category certificate from authentic authority, if applicable).

6. NOC from the concerned authority in case of working employees.

7. Employment exchange registration certificate

8. One self-Addressed envelope (27cm x 13cm approx.) with postage stamp of Rs. 5/- (Rupees five) only.

9. While filling the present Address/ Address for communication, PIN code has to be mandatorily mentioned and (HOUSE No. if applicable)
