WPT&BC, ASSAM SPECIAL FINANCIAL INCENTIVE TO GRADUATE AND POST GRADUATE STUDENTS OF ST(P) & OBC/MOBC COMMUNITIES

WPT&BC, Assam financial assistance to graduate and post graduate students

The Director, WPT&BC, Assam has published a scholarship  notification called “Financial Assistance” under the scheme of “Special Financial Incentive to ST (P) & OBC/ MOBC Meritorious Students” for the year 2020-21 for the ST(P) & OBC/MOBC communities.

Name  of the scheme: Special Financial Incentive to ST (P) & OBC/ MOBC Meritorious Students for the year 2020-21

Eligibility criteria: 

1. Students must belong to ST (P) & OBC/MOBC community of Assam. 

2. Students must have secured 65% or above in Graduation and 60% or above in Post Graduation examination. 

3. This incentive shall be awarded only to the meritorious students who have secured the prescribed percentage of marks or grades in the academic year 2020-21. No claim would be considered to those who have qualified the examination prior to 1st January, 2020. 

Family income: There is no income criteria of Parents/ Guardians for availing this benefit. 

Selection procedure: All the applications received by the Director, Welfare of Plains Tribes & Backward Classes, Assam will be placed before the Selection Committee which will scrutinize the same and approve the list of beneficiaries under the scheme. 

How to apply: Eligible candidates should apply in prescribed format along with all the relevant documents and send the same to the office of the Directorate of Welfare of Plain Tribes & Backward Classes, Assam, Rukmini Nagar, Dispur Last Gate, Satrinivash Path, Ghy-6.
