Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has published a recruitment notification vide advertisement no. 13/2020 for recruitment of 5 nos. of District Museum Officer Grade-I (Gazetted), 1 no. of Assistant Architect Grade-I (Gazetted) and 1 no. of  Laboratory Chemist Grade-I (Gazetted) in the Directorate of Museum under Cultural Affairs Department, Assam. The details regarding recruitment of District Museum Officer Grade-I (Gazetted), Assistant Architect Grade-I (Gazetted) and Laboratory Chemist Grade-I (Gazetted) 2020 in the Directorate of Museum under Cultural Affairs Department, Assam.is given below:

1. Name of the post: District Museum Officer Grade-I (Gazetted)

Total post: 5 (UR-2, OBC/MOBC-1, SC-1, STP-1)

Pay scale: Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1,10,000 (Pay Band 4)+ Grade Pay of Rs.12,700/- plus other allowances as admissible under Rules of The Govt. of Assam.

Educational qualification: Post Graduate degree in History (Ancient)/ Anthropology/ Archaeology/ Sanskrit from a recognized University with knowledge of Museum training /method. Or M.A in Museology from a recognized University.

2. Name of the post: Assistant Architect Grade-I (Gazetted)

Total post: 1 (UR-1)

Pay scale: Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1,10,000 (Pay Band 4)+ Grade Pay of Rs.12,700/- plus other allowances as admissible under Rules of The Govt. of Assam.

Educational qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from recognized University/Institution. Should be registered with the architecture council of India.

3. Name of the post: Laboratory Chemist Grade-I (Gazetted)

Total post: 1 (UR-1)

Pay scale: Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1,10,000 (Pay Band 4)+ Grade Pay of Rs.12,700/- plus other allowances as admissible under Rules of The Govt. of Assam.

Educational qualification: B.Sc with Chemistry from recognized University with Diploma/Certificate in Conservation from reputed Institute. 

Age: 21 to 38 years of age as on 01-01-2020. The upper age limit is relaxable 

i. By 5 years for SC/ST candidates, i.e. upto 43 years. 

ii. By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. upto 41 years. 

iii. For Persons with Disabilities (PWD) by 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and General Category

 Application fee: 

• For General/EWS Candidate : Rs.250/- 
• For SC/ST/OBC/MOBC : Rs.150/-
• For BPL Candidate : Nil (Candidate having BPL certificate should produce their photocopy of certificate along with the Application Form)

How to apply: Candidates should apply in prescribed format available in the website of APSC and the name of the post applied for should be clearly written in “bold letters” in the Envelope containing the application form and it should be addressed to the Deputy Secretary, APSC, Jawaharnagar, Khanapara, Guwahati-781022.
