The State Council
of Educational Research and Training (S.C.E.R.T.), Assam has published a recruitment notification called SCERT, Assam recruitment 2020 for 34 posts of LDA/Lab Assistant/ Library Assistant/ Assistant Teacher/Instructor etc. In this connection online applications are invited from candidates having requisite qualification and other norms. The details are given below:
1. Lower Division Assistant
Total posts: 5
Educational Qualification:
(i) Graduate in any stream
(ii) Diploma/ Certificate in DTP/ Type writing from any Govt. recognized institute. Proficiency in typing of official language will be preferred.
2. Laboratory Assistant
Total posts: 3
Educational Qualification: B.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry or Biology passed with proficiency in computer application.
3. Library Assistant
Total posts: 1
Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline. Preference will be given to the candidates who possessed degree in Library and Information Science having knowledge in Computer application.
4. Statistical Assistant
Total posts: 1
Educational Qualification: Graduate in any stream with any one of the following subjects:
1.Economics, 2 Statistics, 3. Mathematics. Knowledge in computerized Data Entry is desirable.
5. Stenographer
Total posts: 1
Educational Qualification:
1. Graduate in any stream
2. Diploma in Shorthand writing from ITI in Assam by the National Council for Vocational Trade or Diploma in Stenography from Government recognized Polytechnic of the State and having fluency in English. He/she has to pass the shorthand test. Minimum speed is 80 wpm. Candidate must have sound knowledge in computer application.
6. Graduate Instructor (Arts)
Total posts: 3
Educational Qualification: B.A. with B.Ed. from any recognized University. Preference will be given to the candidates who possessed M.A. degree.
7. Assistant Teacher (Arts)
Total posts: 1
Educational Qualification: BA with major in any subject and B.Ed. from any recognized university. Preference will be given to the candidates having Master Degree in Arts.
8. Assistant Teacher (Science)
Total posts: 2
Educational Qualification: B.Sc. with major in Physics/ Chemistry and B.Ed. degree from any recognized university. Preference will be given to the candidates having M.Sc. degree.
9. Assistant Teacher
Total posts: 2 (Arts- 1, Science- 1)
Educational Qualification: B.Sc. with major in Physics/ Chemistry and B.Ed. from any recognized university. Preference will be given to the candidates having for M.Sc. degree for Assistant Teacher (Science). B.A. with major in English and B.Ed. degree from any recognized university. Preference will be given to the candidates having M.A in English for Assistant Teacher (Arts).
10. Normal Instructor
Total posts: 2
Educational Qualification: Degree in any discipline. Graduate in Science or Arts with B.Ed. from any recognized university. Preference will be given to the candidates having Master Degree in Science or Arts.
11. Instructor
Total posts: 2
Educational Qualification: BA with major in any subject and B.Ed. from any recognized university. Preference will be given to Master Degree in Arts.
12. Craft Instructor
Total posts: 3
Educational Qualification: Degree in any discipline from any recognized university with Diploma/ Certificate in fine Art/ Cane and Bamboo/ Cutting and Knitting / Embroidery from Govt. recognized institute.
13. Manual Instructor
Total posts: 1
Educational Qualification: Degree in Fine Art from any Govt. recognized institute. Preference will be given to the candidates having Degree in Fine Art and B.Ed. from any recognized university.
14. Work Experience Teacher
Total posts: 1
Educational Qualification: Graduate in any stream and one who completed certificate course from Govt. recognized institution in Art and Craft (handicraft), cutting, knitting, embroidery and tailoring. Proficiency in the use of ICT for educational purpose is desired.
15. Drawing Instructor
Total posts: 1
Educational Qualification: Degree in Fine Art from any Govt. recognized institute. Preference will be given to the candidates having Degree in Fine Art and B.Ed degree from any recognized university.
16. Music Teacher
Total posts: 1
Educational Qualification: Bachelor in Music from any recognized University. Preference will be given to the candidates having Master degree in Music.
17. Librarian
Total posts: 4
Educational Qualification: Bachelor in Library and Information Science from any Govt. recognized University. Candidates must have knowledge in Computer application and software in the concerned field. Preference will be given to the candidate who possess M. L. I. Sc. from any Govt. recognized University.
Age: 18 to 40 years for UR, 42
years for Ex-Servicemen, 43 years for OBC/ MOBC and 45 years for SC/ ST(P)/ST(H) and 50 years for Persons
with Disability (PwD), as on 01-01-2020.
SCERT, Assam recruitment 2020 selection process for non-gazetted posts:
The eligible candidates must undergo a written examination category-wise and other computer/proficiency test wherever necessary.

The individual Admit Card will be issued online through the website https://scert.assam.gov.in.

Important points to be noted before applying:
- The candidate has to upload the scanned documents in JPEG/JPG format wherever required not more than 500 KB per document.
- A recent passport colour photograph in black and white background on a standard size 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm has to be uploaded. The photograph must be in JPEG/JPG format not more than 100 kb.
- The candidate has to upload a scanned image of signature with black or dark blue on a white paper. The signature must be in JPEG/JPG format in the size of 3.5 cm (width) x 2.5 cm (height) not; more than 100 kb.
- The candidate should have registration in Employment Exchange, registered anywhere within the state of Assam.
- Those who are already in Government service must get NOC from appointing authority
