Bodoland University was established by Bodoland University Act 2009, passed in the Assam Legislative Assembly. The present Bodoland University is an up-gradation of the Kokrajhar campus of Gauhati University to a full-fledged state University as per the provision of the Act.

I. ELIGIBILITY FOR MA./M.Sc./M.Com: a. B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (in the 10+2+3 pattern) with Major/Honours Course in the concerned subject with 50% marks. 

b. Relaxation of Marks: Candidates for reserved quota (SC/ST) shall be given relaxation up to 5% (five percent) of the marks prescribed for admission. The relaxation will not be applicable to candidates seeking admission in any other reserved quota. 

II. ELIGIBILITY FOR M.Sc. IN COMPUTER SCIENCE & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY: a. B.Sc. (in the 10+ 2+ 3 pattern) with Major/Honours Course in the concerned subject. 

b. B.C.A/B.Sc.(IT)(in the 10 + 2 + 3 pattern) with Mathematical Science in 10+2 level. 

c. B.Sc. (in the 10+ 2 + 3 pattern) with Computer Science/ Information Technology as a pass course/elective subject. 

d. B.Sc. (in the 10+2+3 pattern) with General! Pass Course with one year Computer Diploma (Post-Graduate) from recognised institute and Mathematical Sciences in 10+2 1evel. e. B.E./B.Tech.(CSE or IT)

III. ELIGIBILITY FOR M.Sc. IN BIOTECHNOLOGY: a. Science Graduate having honours in any of the Biological Sciences. 

b. Pass Course students with minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade for General and OBC, 45% or equivalent grade for ST and SC. Having at least one biological Subject in their course combination during graduation is mandatory. 

IV. ELIGIBILITY FOR DBT (DIPLOMA IN BAMBOO TECHNOLOGY): H.S. passed. (Any Stream) 

V. ELIGIBILITY FOR B.Sc. (BAMBOO STUDIES): H.S. Science passed. 

VI. ELIGIBILITY FOR M.B.A.: a. A Bachelor Degree of 10+2+3 pattern with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate or in Major/Honours subject (if any) from any recognized University. 

b. Eligible applicants will have to appear in a written test, intended to evaluate their quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, general awareness and proficiency in English to be conducted by Bodoland University as common entrance tests for the MBA programme. 

c. However candidates who have appeared in any one of the All India Common Entrance Tests for admission to an MBA programme, viz. CAT, XAT, MAT or ATMA, and scored marks not less than 75 percentile, are exempted from appearing in the written test conducted by the University. 

d. Candidate qualifying in the written test conducted by Bodoland University or a candidate having scored marks not less than 75 percentile in the aforesaid All In Common Entrance Tests shall be permitted to appear in the Group Discussion and Interview for final selection. 

VII. ELIGIBILITY FOR M.C.A.: Bachelor's degree in BCA/ B.Sc./B.Com./B.A. with mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation Level. Obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST) in the qualifying examination. 

VIII. ELIGIBILITY FOR PGDHRE: Any graduate with 45% marks or equivalent grade, having interest to study Human Rights.

Note:
1. Prospectus and Application Forms can be obtained from the Cash Counter at Administrative Building on payment of Rs. 500/- during office hours.

2. Application Forms should be submitted at the Academic Branch of the University during office hours.

3. For applying in different courses, candidates have to submit separate Application Forms.

4. Demand Draft has to be made in favor of The Registrar, Bodoland University, Kokrajhar payable at SBI North Kokrajhar Branch, (Branch Code -7379), Kokrajhar.

5. The University authority shall not be responsible for non-delivery/late delivery of forms sent by the post.

6. Incomplete Application Forms (such as lack of required information or partial information, properly not filled information, supporting documents, payment receipt, etc.) will be rejected without any intimation.
