Assam Handloom and Textiles One year Artisan Course Admission notification 2022



The Director of Handloom and Textiles, Assam has published an admission notification for undergoing one year Artisan Course in Handloom Training Centres (HTCs ) of the State under the Directorate of Handloom & Textiles, Assam for the academic session 2022-23. The details are given below:

HANDLOOM AND TEXTILES ASSAM ONE YEAR ARTISAN COURSE 2022

Name of the course: One year Artisan Course

Duration: 1 year

Qualification: Minimum class VIII passed or above.

Stipend: Rs. 80/- pm during the entire course. The stipend will be provided based on the character and conduct of the trainee, attendance, etc.

Eligibility:
1. The applicant must be an Indian citizen and permanent resident of the State of Assam.

2. The candidates must be unmarried male or female and widows

Age: 15 to 25 years as on 01-01-2022 (In the Handloom Training Centres where there is maximum no. of SC/ST/Plain tribes, they will be given preference for admission)

Selection procedure: The applicants shall have to appear before the selection committee as and when called for at their own expenses.

Admission: The selected candidates should admit himself or herself within 10 days of the start of the training.

How to apply: The application forms may be obtained from the Handloom Training Centers (HTCs) located in their or nearby areas and it should be submitted to the Instructor of the Handloom Training Centres of the respective district or subdivision or area with necessary documents.

Where to collect full information: Detailed information may be obtained from the Assistant Director/ Superintendent of Handloom & Textiles and Handloom Training Centres of their respective districts and Sub-Divisions.

Last date: 31-01-2022

Note: The students who get admission should manage their lodging and fooding on their own. However, in some Handloom Training Centres only a limited seats of hostel for girl students are available. After completion of the course, the students should manage for self-employment.
