BODOLAND UNIVERSITY TERMINATES CONTRACTUAL, TEMPORARY AND GUEST FACULTIES FROM SERVICE

Bodoland University Contractual Teacher termination order

The Registrar (i/c) of Bodoland University vide Memo no. BU/Estt./Ord-Cir/06/2019/660 dated 05/07/2021 has issued an order No. 25 dated 06/07/2021 regarding termination of services of faculty members presently engaged on contractual/Temporary basis/Guest Faculties of Bodoland University with effect from 01-07-2021.

Further, the order also mentioned that no more appointments of contractual/Temporary basis/Guest Faculties will be made from now on.

The excerpt of the order issued by Dr. Hare Krishna Sahoo is given below:

 " As per the order no. GSA.143/2018/Pt.I/106 March 08, 2021, issued from the Governor's Secretariat and the instruction made therein, all the faculty members on contractual/Temporary basis/Guest faculty of Bodoland University have been terminated w.e.f. 01.07.2021.

In the spirit of the Order of the Governor Secretariat, the University will not appoint any Guest faculty/ faculty on contractual/temporary basis from the date of issue of this order."

It may be mentioned that recently Gauhati University had also terminated the services of Contractual faculties.
