Selected Textbook shops to remain open in Assam: Chief Secretary

Assam Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna on Monday has asked the Deputy Commissioners of all districts of Assam to streamline the distribution of textbooks to cater to the needs of the students.

The Chief Secretary has asked the DCs to select a few textbook shops which should be allowed to operate for 3 hrs for 3 days in a week. This decision was taken as several complaints and requests from guardians regarding the unavailability of textbooks for their wards have been received from several parts of Assam in view of the Nationwide lockdown told the Chief Secretary in a press conference on Monday.
