Indian Railways Ticket refund for cancelled trains till May 3

In the wake of the extension of Nationwide Lockdown till May 3, the Indian Railways has said that full refund will be automatically provided to customers who had purchased tickets through online mode for trains cancelled up to May 3. 

• How to get refund for train tickets purchased at the ticket counter? 

The Indian Railways has also said that refund for tickets purchased at the ticket counters will be provided till July 31. The customers who had purchased tickets for the cancelled trains at the ticket counters will be able to claim their refund till July 31.

• Refund for cancelling advance bookings of tickets for trains not yet cancelled

The customers will also be provided full refund for advance bookings of tickets for trains not yet cancelled said the Indian Railway sources.

It may be mentioned that advance booking of train tickets including e-tickets will not be allowed till further orders however customers who have to cancel their advance bookings of tickets will be able to do so as the facility of online cancellation will remain functional.
