The Central Selection Board (CSB), BTC had invited applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of 156 (one hundred and fifty six) vacant posts for various posts under the Department of Agriculture, BTC comprising 64 posts and the Department of Forest comprising 92 posts. But currently, the recruitment process is on hold as the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) for the General Election to the BTCLA 2020 is on. 

The candidates who had applied for various posts under the above-mentioned departments are eagerly waiting for the Central Selection Board (CSB) to conduct the written tests as soon as possible. It may be mentioned that the result of the Physical Fitness Test for the posts of Forester- I and Forest Guard under the Forest Department, BTC, which were conducted by the CSB on 22nd, 23rd & 24th October, 2019, was declared on 17-12-2019. However, the written test for the Department of Agriculture, BTC was not held till date.

According to sources, the recruitment process may start again once the election process gets over and the new government assumes power in the BTCLA. 

The massive recruitment drive for 156 posts gave a new ray of hope for the unemployed youths of the Bodoland Territorial Council region as it may land them a coveted government job.

The various posts under the Department of Agriculture, BTC for which the applications sought for were:

a) Agriculture Extension Assistant (AEA) (54 posts)

b) Primary Investigator (PI) (1 post)

c) Field Investigator (FI) (2 posts)

d) Power Sprayer & Duster Operator (PS&DO) (3 posts)

e) Junior Assistant (1 post)

f) Fitter (1 post)

g) Fieldman (2 posts)

And the various posts under the Department of Forest, BTC for which the applications sought for were:

a) Forester-I (22 posts)

b) Forest Guard (70 posts)
