V.F.A. Training Course for one year Elementary Knowledge on A.H. & Veterinary Science
Applications are invited from the intending male & female
candidates from North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council of
Assam for undergoing V.F.A. Training Course for one year
Elementary Knowledge on A.H. & Veterinary Science for the
Session 2017-18 at the School of Veterinary Science & A.H.
Assam at Ghungoor, Silchar for admission against 7 (seven)
nos. left out reserved category of seats.
Total Seats: 7( OBC-4, STP-1, SC-2)
Age: A candidate should not be less than 17 years and more
than 30 years of age as on 01-01-2017. The upper age limit is
relaxable for the candidates of reserved categories as per existing
provision.
Qualification: Minimum H S (Sc.) passed with Biology as a subject from
the recognized University/ Board
How to Apply:
1. The prescribed Application Forms will have to be downloaded
from the Govt. of Assam’s website assam.gov.in and submitted
along with a fee of Rs.100/- for OBC, Rs 50/- for ST & SC
candidates by way of Crossed Indian Postal Order duly pledged
in favor of the Principal, School of Veterinary Science & A.H.
Assam at Ghungoor, Silchar payable at the Post Office, Silchar
Medical College, Silchar.
Intended candidates may also contact the Office of the
Additional Director, A.H. & Veterinary Department (Hills), Assam
Haflong, Dima Hasao for the hard Copy of Application Form.
No Bank Draft/Money Order/ Cash or Cheque will be accepted
for issuance of Application forms.
2. Duly filled in Application Forms along with required testimonials
shall have to be submitted along with a self-addressed stamped
(Rs.5.00 only) envelope of 23x11cm size, at the office of the
Additional Director, A.H. & Vety. Deptt. (Hills), Haflong, Assam
by Registered Post or by hand in the Drop Box during office
hours.
Other Terms & Conditions:
1. Candidates must be residents of Dima Hasao District under
North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council and should enclose
copy of the Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) along with
the Application.
2. Since the practice of furnishing attested copies of certificates/
mark sheets etc. by competent authority has been
discontinued by the Govt., the applicant shall furnish copies
of certificate/mark sheet etc. declared by himself/herself as
certified to be true copy of the original along with the application.
3. Incomplete and defective applications will be summarily
rejected
4. The candidates whose applications are found complete in all
respects will be called for an interview before the Selection
Committee. The candidates will have to produce all original
certificates and testimonials before the Selection Committee
at the time of the interview.
5. The eligible candidates belonging to Hill District of Dima
Hasao will have to appear for an interview at the Office of the
Additional Director, A.H. & Vety. Deptt. (Hills), Dima Hasao,
Haflong, Assam.
6. In-service candidates will have to apply through proper
channel.
7. The list of eligible candidates will be displayed in the Office
Notice Board of the Directorate of A.H. & Vety. Deptt.,
Guwahati-3; Principal, School of Veterinary Science & A.H. at
Ghungoor, Silchar, Assam; and the Addl. Director (Hills), A.H.
& Vety. Deptt., Assam, Haflong. The List of eligible candidates
will also be made available in assam.gov.in and Department’s
website.
8. Individual Call Letters will also be sent to the eligible candidates
in their respective postal address. However, the department
will not be responsible for postal delay in receipt of Call Letters
in time. Of course, non-receipt of Call Letters in time will not
make them ineligible to appear in interview provided that the
eligible candidates produce Identity Card along with Original
testimonials at the time of Interview.
9. The selection of candidates would be made on the basis of
existing Selection Procedure as under:
a. 50% of the percentage of Marks obtained in H.S. Science
with Biology and —
b. 50% of the percentage of Marks obtained in the Viva-Voce
Examination.
The total marks obtained as mentioned hereinabove would
be taken into consideration for selection of candidates on
Merit basis with due consideration to Reservation policy.
10. The Roll Numbers of the selected candidates will be notified
through leading Regional/Local daily English, Assamese, and
Dimasa Newspapers Published from Guwahati and Haflong,
Assam. The List of selected candidates will also be made
available in assam.gov.in and Department’s website
animalhusbandry.assam.gov.in.
11. The selected candidates will have to undergo the training
course at their own expense.
12. The selected candidates from N.C. Hills Autonomous Council
shall have to execute a bond prior to admission to the course
stating therein that they will serve in the respective areas of
BTAD/NCHAC.
13. Subject to availability of vacancy and observance of Rules &
Regulations, the successful trainees will be appointed time
to time by the respective council. However, the authority
shall not be bound to provide appointments/jobs on completion
of the course.
14. The candidates selected for admission will have to produce
physical fitness certificate from the District/Sub-Divisional
Medical and Health Officers.
