Assam Public Service Commission invites application from Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India for the under-mentioned posts under Assam Government in the scale of pay as indicated below and carrying usual allowances as admissible under Rules of the Govt. of Assam. 

1. Name of the Post: Director of Economics and Statistics under Transformation & Development Deptt.

Number of Post: 1 (UR)

Scale of Pay: Rs.30,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/- plus Grade Pay of Rs. 16,900/- of PB-4 plus other allowances as admissible under rules of the Govt. of Assam. 

Age: Not less than 35 years or more than 45 years as on 01-01-2019. Provided that for candidates belonging to the Assam Economics & Statistics service there shall be no upper age limit. The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Matriculation /HSLC Admit Card/ Certificate issued by a recognized Board/Council and no other document shall be accepted in lieu of the mentioned documents. 

Educational Qualification:  (a) Atleast 2nd Class Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics from a Recognised University or its equivalent. 

OR Degree of a Recognised University with Mathematics, Statistics, Economics as Subject and a Diploma Recognised by Govt. obtained after alteast 2 (two) years Post Graduate training in Statistics. (Attach self attested valid supporting documents) Note: - Doctorate of Other Research Degree in Statistics, Mathematics & Economics is desirable. 

(b) Not less than 10 (ten) years experience in Statistical Works/ Investigation/ Research in a Govt. Deptt. or Commercial concern of repute or in conducting or guiding Research in Statistics in a University or Institute of Training & Research as evidenced by published work. Administrative experience for not less than 5 years in a responsible capacity. 

2. Name of the Post: Inspector of Factories, Assam under Labour Welfare Department. 

Number of Post: 2 (MOBC/OBC)

Scale of Pay: Rs.30,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/- PB-4, Grade Pay of Rs. 12,700/- P.M. plus other allowances as admissible under rules of the Govt. of Assam. 

Age: Candidates must not be less than 23 (twenty-three) years and above 38 (thirty eight) years. 3(three) years age relaxation for OBC/MOBC candidates as per Govt. Notification No. ABP.6/2016/9 dated Dispur the 25th April/2018. The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Matriculation /HSLC Admit Card/ Certificate issued by a recognized Board/Council and no other document shall be accepted in lieu of the mentioned documents. 

Educational Qualification: Degree in any branch of Engineering or Technology, preferably Mechanical/ Chemical or Electrical Engineering. (Attach self attested valid supporting documents)

Experience: Candidates should have practical experience of 2 (two) years in a workshop or manufacturing concern of good standard.

a. The candidates should carefully go through the terms and conditions of the advertisement, particularly (i) Educational qualification (ii) Age limit and (iii) Experience where experience is necessary. 

b. Only those candidates who fulfill all the terms and conditions of the advertisement in respect of the post for which they are applicants shall be entertained. Others need not apply. 

c. The candidates shall have to produce identity proof like PAN Card, Driving Licence, Passport, Current ID card issued by the educational institutions, Voter ID Card, Aadhar Card (wherever applicable) at the time of Screening/ Written test and Viva- Voce/ Interview. 

d. The candidates should visit the commission’s website www.apsc.nic.in regularly. If the commission decides to hold written examination/screening test, the syllabus will be uploaded only in the APSC website. 

e. The name of the post applied for should be clearly written in “Bold Letters” in the Envelope containing the application form and it should be addressed to the Deputy Secretary, APSC, Jawaharnagar, Khanapara, Guwahati-781022.

2. For SC/ST/OBC/MOBC: Rs.150/-
