NIA Recruitment 2019: Inspector/ Sub-Inspector Posts

Nominations are invited for the posts of Sub Inspectors on deputation basis in the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Details of posts and vacancies are as under:

1. Inspector

Total posts: 26

Pay Scale: Pay Matrix Level - 7 (PB-2 with GP 4600/- pre-revised) 

Proposed place of posting: Delhi, Lucknow, Guwahati, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Jammu and Raipur.

Eligibility Criteria:

a) The officers of the central Govt. or State Govt. or Union Territories:-

(i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or

(ii) With 5 years'  service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in posts in the Pay Band-2 of Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- in the parent cadre or department; and

b) Possessing the following educational qualifications and experiences:

(i) Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university; and

(ii) Two years' experience in handling of cases of investigation of criminal cases, or intelligence work or operations or Information Technology cases or Training in counter terrorism.

2.  Sub Inspector

Total posts: 36

Pay Scale: Pay Matrix Level - 6 (PB-2 with GP 4200/- pre-revised)

Proposed place of posting: Delhi, Lucknow, Guwahati, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Jammu and Raipur.

Eligibility Criteria:

a) The officers of the central Govt. or State Govt. or Union Territories:-

(i) Holding analogous posts in regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or

(ii) With 6 years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the Pay Band-1 of Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs. 2800/- in the parent cadre or department; and

b) Possessing the following educational qualifications and experiences:-

(i) Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university; and

(ii) Experience of two years in handling of cases of investigation of criminal cases, or intelligence work or operation or Information Technology cases or Training in counter-terrorism.
