Applications are invited for a Walk-in-interview for the following posts in the DBT Twining project entitled "Isolation and identification of novel bacteriocin producing probiotic microbial species from Northeast region, exploration of probiotic traits and application of purified bacteriocin in food preservation" under Dr Sucharita Sen Maiti (Assistant Professor) and Dr Prakash Kumar Nayak (Assistant Professor) at the Department of Food Engineering & Technology, CIT Kokrajhar.

Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Total Post: 1

Qualifications: M Tech. / M Sc in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry or an allied area with at least 60% marks.

➧Research experience in Microbiology and Biochemistry is desirable.

➧Candidates having valid NET / GATE score are preferred.

Pay: Rs 25000/- p.m. + HRA for 1st two (2) years, thereafter Rs 28000/- p.m. + HRA.

Duration: 3 years or till the end of project, whichever is earlier. After 2 years of satisfactory appraisal, s/he would be promoted to SRF.

Note: The performance of the JRF shall be appraised yearly to allow him to continue for the next year.

Selection process: Selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in the interview.
