Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition Guwahati (A Central Autonomous Organization under Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India) invites application from eligibile candidates for the follwing posts.

The details are given below:

1. Name of the Post: Asst. Lecturer-cum-Asst. Instructor

Total Posts: 6 [Gen-4, OBC-1 & ST-1]

Scale of Pay : Pay matrix Rs.35,400-1,12,400, Level-6 

2. Name of the Post: Teaching Associates

Total Posts: 2 [Gen-1, SC-1]

Salary: Consolidated Pay of Rs.25,000/- per month

Essential Qualification & Other Qualification:

1. Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality & Hotel Administration / Hotel Management after 10+2 from a Recognized University and full-time Master’s degree in Hospitality & Hotel Administration / Hotel Management securing not less than 60% marks in aggregate either in bachelors or master’s degree.

OR

Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality & Hotel Administration / Hotel Management after 10+2 from a Recognized University securing not less than 60% marks in aggregate with at least 2 years industry experience.

2. Must have qualified NHTET conducted by NCHMCT with prescribed percentage to qualify for Asst. Lecturer-cum-Asst. Instructor or Teaching Associate, as the case may be. However, the candidate, having a PhD in Hospitality/ Hotel Management topic from a recognized University/ Institute need not qualify NHTET.

Age limit: Not exceeding 30 years (as on 01-01-2019) upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of SC/ST candidates.

***The post of Asst. Lecturer carries usual allowances and will be covered under the New Pension Scheme as per Government of India Rules. Persons working in Govt./Semi or Quasi Govt./ Autonomous/ PSU should submit their application through proper channel.

The competent authority reserves the right to fill or not to fill vacancy or to re-advertise the Post. The Institute will not be responsible for postal delay. The numbers of the post are indicative and may increase or decrease. Candidate must furnish their contact number. Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for Teaching as well as Practical Interview/Skill Tests.
