The District Commandant, Home Guards, Nagaon through a notification has invited applications from the intending trained male or female Home Guard Volunteers of Nagaon and Morigaon districts (Rural/ Urban) for engagement or deployment under various agencies in Nagaon and Marigaon districts of Assam for the month of February 2019 as per Assam Home Guards (Amendment) Rules, 2015.

Place of Engagement/ Deployment: Nagaon and Morigaon

Eligibility:

➥Class 8th Pass

➥Home Guards Volunteer Certificate from Nagaon and Morigaon as per Assam Home Guards (Amendment) Rules, 2015.

Desirable Qualification:

➥Driving License

➥Computer Proficiency Certificate

Age Limit: Maximum 55 years (Preference will be given to those below 35 years of age)

Daily Wages: 

➥Rs. 300/- per day for Basic Trained Home Guards Volunteer

➥Rs. 315/- per day for Advanced Trained Home Guards Volunteer.

Important Notes:

➥Home Guards Volunteer will be shortlisted on First Come First Serve basis. Preference will be given to those volunteers whose service has not been utilized for more than one (1) year on the basis of their character and competency/ performance. No TA/DA will be admissible. ➥The above-mentioned wages are fixed and additional perks may be given by different agencies based on their performance. 

➥The job of Assam Home Guards Volunteer is purely voluntary in nature and no volunteer can claim any appointment/engagement under regular Govt. Establishment by virtue of his/her deployment tenure. Hence Volunteers are advised not to come under the influence of any false propaganda in relation to their engagement and thereby discourage and disown any touts who may be trying to do so. 

➥No Home Guards Volunteer can dictate any term regarding the place of deployment/ engagement. 

➥The District Commandant, Home Guards, Nagaon reserves the right to change/ modify/ accept/ reject any application without informing the volunteers.
