The Director of Sericulture, Assam has published advertisements inviting applications from the citizen of India having requisite qualification in Standard Form as published in the Assam Gazette in Pt- IX for filling up 1 (One) post of Sericulture Inspector/ Manager cadre and 1 (One) post of Sericulture Demonstrator by “Special Recruitment Drive” for persons with Disabilities under Directorate of Sericulture, Assam, Khanapara, Guwahati-22.

1. Name of the Post: Sericulture Inspector/ Manager

Total Post: 1 (One ) 

Reservation: Persons with Disabilities.

Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Botany/ Zoology with post Graduate Diploma in Sericulture or M.Sc. in Sericulture/ M.Sc. in Sericulture Technology. 

Age: Not more than 44 years as on 03-03-2018. For SC/ST candidates the upper age limit will be relaxed by 5 years.

Salary: Rs.14,000-49,000/- + G.P.-8,700/- P.M. + other allowances as admissible under rules.

2. Name of the Post: Sericulture Demonstrator

Total Post: 1 (One ) 

Reservation: Persons with Disabilities.

Educational Qualification: 

• HSLC examination passed + 01 (one) year certificate training course from Sericultural Training Institute, Titabor, Jorhat up to 1996-97 OR

• HSSLC (Science) examination passed or equivalent + 01 (one) year certificate training course from Sericultural Training Institute, Titabor, Jorhat since 1997-98 batch.

Age: Not more than 44 years as on 03-03-2018. For SC/ST candidates the upper age limit will be relaxed by 5 years.

Salary: Rs.14,000-49,000/- + G.P.-6200/- P.M. +other allowances as admissible under rules.

How to Apply: 

1. Candidates should apply in the Standard Form.
2. Candidates should submit self attested copy of all testimonials from HSLC onwards including copy of PwD certificate issued by competent authority.
3. 2 (two) passport size photograph should be enclosed along with the application without which the application will be rejected.
4. The application must be submitted by the candidate manually & should receive the acknowledgement receipt from this office.
5. Applicants already in Govt. service shall apply through proper channel.
