Centre of Plasma Physics – Institute for Plasma Research (CPP-IPR) is a research Centre of Institute for Plasma Research (IPR), Gandhinagar, Gujarat, an aided institute under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Govt. of India. The Institute is looking for Project Scientific Officer-C (one post) to handle the operation of negative hydrogen ion extraction experimental system, where negative hydrogen ions are produced using cesium coated tungsten dust in low-pressure filament discharge plasma.

The details are given below:

Name of the Post: Project Scientific Officer-C

Total Post: 1

Qualification: M.Sc. in Physics with minimum 60% marks.

Experience: One year of experience in doing experiments in R&D laboratories. Basic knowledge in dusty plasma physics will be preferred. In addition, the candidate should have the ability to perform numerical simulation of the existing negative ion extraction experimental setup. Knowledge in ion optics will be considered as add-on.

Duration: The above post is purely temporary for a period of one year. A performance evaluation/ assessment will be done at the end of one year of joining. Depending upon the satisfactory performance of the candidate, tenure may be extended for further period up to 31-03-2020 or co-terminus with the completion of the project, whichever is earlier. 

Salary: Consolidated Rs. 71,000/- p.m.

Age Limit: 30 Years (As on 30-10-2018). Age relaxation is admissible to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD candidates as per Government of India rules.
