North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology (NERIST) Recruitment for JRF and Field Assistant Posts

Applications from eligible candidates are invited for a Walk-In-Interview to be held on 30th June 2018 at 10AM in the Department of Forestry.

The applications are invited for the following posts in a coordinated research project entitled, “Invasive Alien Plants in Himalayas: Status, Ecological Impact and Management” to be implemented in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Manipur, sponsored by MoEF & CC.

1. Name of the post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Junior Project Fellow (JPF)

• Number of post: 02 
• Educational Qualification: Good Academic record with 1st Class in Post Graduation in Forestry/Life ScienceBotany/Environmental Science/ Chemical Science/Geography (candidates having experience in Remote Sensing and GIS/field experience for ecological, taxonomical studies (NET qualified will be given preference)
• Consolidated Fellowship: Rs.  25,000/- per month (JRF for NET qualified candidate) and Rs.  16,000/- per month (JPF for Non-NET candidate)

2. Name of the post: Field Assistant

• Number of post: 01
• Educational Qualification:10th Pass with minimum 08-years of experience in field visits, collection of plant & soil samples, herbarium preparation, handling soil samples, mist chamber and laboratory work
• Consolidated Fellowship: Rs.10,000/- per month

Tenure of the positions: Both the positions are purely temporary for a period of 03 (Three) years and co-terminus with the project.

• Candidates bearing fine temperament and ready to work in remote and inaccessible areas of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Manipur would be preferred.
• Applicants must bring all supporting documents in original while appearing the interview.
• Except Arunachal Pradesh, applicants from other states may procure Inner Line Permit for entry to Arunachal Pradesh via http://arunachalilp.com or from any designated offices.
